Аличе Грегорио

A violinist by training, Alice Gregorio came to singing through Mireille Alcantara and Armande Olivier, studying languages and literature alongside her music, and refined her work in mélodie and lieder in classes with François Le Roux, Graham Johnson, Philipp Moll and Regina Werner. As a member of Les Arts Florissants she has sung under William Christie and Paul Agnew in Europe, Asia and North America. At the Opéra de Rouen her roles have included Hänsel, Kate Pinkerton and the Page in Lohengrin, and she has appeared at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence. In the autumn of 2011 she sang Mercédès on the Carmen tour that State Opera Rousse took through the Netherlands and Belgium, from Heerlen and The Hague to Utrecht and Ghent. Opera Fuoco has been another of her ensembles, and Aglatida in Johann Christian Bach's Zanaïda belongs among her stage roles. She also created ZYKLUS, a staged project combining dance with lieder by Berg and Schumann.
