Биография
Graduating with distinction from the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw in 1994, where she studied with Krystyna Szostek-Radkowa, Anna Lubańska had already begun singing at the Teatr Wielki — Polish National Opera, and she has been attached to the house since 1993. First prize and three special awards at the Ada Sari competition in Nowy Sącz were followed by recognition in Paris and Brussels. Jadwiga in Moniuszko's The Haunted Manor, Mercedes, Flora, Suzuki and Eboli mark out her stage repertoire; beside it she has built a career in oratorio and cantata across the Polish philharmonics, with works by Handel, Beethoven, Verdi, Szymanowski and Penderecki, and she sings in Kraków, Poznań and Bytom as well as Warsaw. Her recordings include The Haunted Manor and Penderecki's Ubu Rex. Amneris, Olga in Eugene Onegin and Mother Ubu widen the list of her parts, the last of them set down with the Warsaw company under Jacek Kasprzyk.
