Биография
Francesco Sartori worked as a pianist and arranger before writing Con te partirò with the lyricist Lucio Quarantotto. Con te partirò was introduced by Andrea Bocelli at Sanremo in 1995 and later reached an international audience; the bilingual version with Sarah Brightman, Time to Say Goodbye, followed in 1996. Canto della terra followed for the same singer. He took his diploma in trumpet at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice in 1988, having studied counterpoint and composition alongside it, played keyboards with Le Orme, and entered a long working relationship with Caterina Caselli and the Sugar label. Beside the songs, among them Immenso for Bocelli, he wrote for the screen, including Vajont and La contessa di Castiglione, and for Gianna Nannini and Filippa Giordano.
