Люси Дяковска

Pleven-born and Hamburg-trained, Lucy Diakovska studied at the Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama and was working in musical theatre when the television series Popstars made her a founding member of No Angels in 2000. The group's first single, Daylight in Your Eyes, and its album Elle'ments went to the top of the charts across the German-speaking countries, and it had sold some five million records by the time it disbanded in 2003. Her solo album The Other Side appeared in 2005; she rejoined the reformed group and sang for Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008. She has worked since across German and Bulgarian television, including as a judge on X Factor Bulgaria, while continuing to perform. She also took part in the group’s 2021 reunion, which produced a new recording of Daylight in Your Eyes.
