Сафет Бериша

Membership of the ReVocal Ensemble, founded by the ReMusica Festival, puts Safet Berisha in programmes running from early Albanian music and the Renaissance and Baroque through to living composers of Kosovo and the Baltic states. A countertenor from Kosovo, he sings concert, early and vocal-symphonic repertoire. He took the tenor solo in Orff's Carmina Burana with the Albanian National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in 2016 and again in 2019, and in 2023 gave a recital of Handel, Pergolesi and Purcell at the Chopin Piano Fest in Pristina with the soprano Kaltrina Miftari and the pianist Lekë Salihu. He sang in the Kosovo Philharmonic's New Year's Concerts in Pristina in December 2013 and December 2014.
