Queensborough Community College Theatre

The Queensborough Performing Arts Center is based at Queensborough Community College in New York. Its Professional Performing Arts Series brings visiting artists and productions to the local community, with programming intended to reflect the cultural diversity of Queens. The centre also serves as a learning environment for college students, connecting performance with education. Its auditorium is described by the college as a 790-seat theatre, providing an intimate setting for the centre's public programme. Bayside, in eastern Queens, has had a performing arts centre on the campus of Queensborough Community College since 1963. Seating rather more than a thousand, it serves college productions, community events and visiting professional companies; touring opera has brought Aida and Le nozze di Figaro to its stage. A thorough renovation was carried out in 2023–24.
