Composer
Biography
Composer, arranger and conductor Ernesto Tagliaferri wrote for the Neapolitan song repertoire. Piscatore 'e Pusilleco, Passione and Mandulinata a Napule carry his name, including collaborations with Ernesto Murolo. He died in 1937, at forty-seven. In 1934 he joined Libero Bovio, Nicola Valente and Gaetano Lama in founding the publishing house La Bottega dei Quattro, set up so that the four could bring out their own work, and Passione, written with Valente to a text by Bovio, appeared under that imprint in the same year.
