Ferhat Can Büyük

Born in 1997, Ferhat Can Büyük began the piano at five with Aytaj Rızaguliyeva and entered the Istanbul University State Conservatory in 2008 in the class of Meral Yapalı. His repertoire centres on the Classical and Romantic literature alongside Turkish music, and he took the Best Beethoven Interpretation award at the Malaysia Virtual International Music Competition in 2020. He appears in recital and as a concerto soloist. He continued his studies with Ewa Pobłocka at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 2015 he won the İş Sanat Shining Stars award given in memory of Meriç Soylu and appeared with the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic under Sascha Goetzel, and he also took the Grand Prize at the Antonin Chopin competition.
