Sheryl Crow and Mitchell Froom wrote Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997 as the title song of the eighteenth James Bond film, chosen from a competition among several submissions; David Arnold's rejected entry, sung by k. d. lang, was moved to the closing credits. Crow recorded her version with a large orchestra arranged in the manner of the 1960s Bond themes, and it was nominated for a Grammy and a Golden Globe. Froom, better known as a producer, shares the writing credit. The single reached number twelve in Britain.
