Биография
Luigi Giovanni Maria Panceri, born in Monza in 1962, trained at the Milan Conservatory in guitar, harmony and composition and worked as a session musician. Sanremo took him in 1986, billed as Gigi Panceri, but recognition arrived through other voices: Mina recorded Canterò per te in 1989, and songs for Mietta, Giorgia and Andrea Bocelli followed. Vivo per lei, made famous by Bocelli with Giorgia, has since been sung in several languages. Succede a chi ci crede and Stellina followed Cavoli amari, and Gianni Morandi is among the other singers who have taken up his songs. For the Bocelli–Giorgia version of Vivo per lei, he reworked the lyrics of the song originally recorded by O.R.O., turning its subject towards music.
