Pop singer
Biography
In 2013 and 2014 Daniela Stingl appeared as a soloist with the State Opera Rousse, in Ruse itself and on the company's evenings in Burgas, where Ilona Gerulat was among her colleagues. She works in pop and soul and writes her own material, taking the Anni-Frid part in the Cologne band Agnetha and appearing with Chiquititas ABBA Tribute and StÄÄne. With Ilona Gerulat she competed in the German Eurovision selection of 2002, and her writing includes children's musicals and songs for Corinna May. She grew up inside the Musikschule Frechen, where her father Klaus Ditzel taught the oboe and where she learned piano, French horn and trumpet; at sixteen she became the singer of the Frechen band Joy of Sax. After the Gymnasium Frechen she qualified as a state-certified educator. In 2001 she sang with the band Tuesdays as support for the Schlager singer Michelle, and the 2002 selection took her to Kiel. Her Anni-Frid has since 2000 passed through several ABBA tribute formations, including the dinner show ABBA Royal for World of Dinner, and her song Wenn du willst was taken up by Corinna May. Since 2009 she has taught at the Musikschule Frechen, in early-years and elementary music education.
