GoldenEye

Bono and The Edge wrote GoldenEye for the seventeenth James Bond film, released in 1995 — the first with Pierce Brosnan in the role and the first after a six-year gap in the series. They wrote it for Tina Turner, who recorded it in an arrangement that deliberately recalls Shirley Bassey's Bond songs of the 1960s. It was among the first Bond title songs not written by the composer of the film's score; Éric Serra wrote that separately, and the song and the score share no material at all.
