Стилиян Минчев

On the soloists' roster of the State Opera Rousse, the tenor Stilian Minchev has sung in the company's Carmen, Aida, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte and Les contes d'Hoffmann. He has taken part in its new productions and in the touring and festival work that keeps the house busy well beyond Rousse — the Mozart Days at Pravets and the Scene by the River festival among them, and guest weeks in Switzerland and Germany. He began at the Rousse house as a member of its chorus before moving into solo work there. His first production with the director Gian Gianotti was Le nozze di Figaro, in which he sang Basilio. He was born in Rousse and graduated from the State Academy of Music in Sofia; winning a singing competition brought him onto the roster of the Rousse opera house in 1998.
