SOS

SOS was recorded in 1975 for the album ABBA, with Agnetha Faltskog singing the lead and Benny Andersson's piano introduction in the minor giving way to a major chorus. It was the first ABBA single after Waterloo to reach the top ten in Britain, and it ended the period in which the group was widely expected to remain a one-hit Eurovision act. Pete Townshend called it the best pop song ever written, a remark quoted ever since. The title reads the same in both directions, as does the group's name.
