Super Trouper

Super Trouper takes its title from a make of follow spotlight used in large arenas, and the lyric describes the exhaustion of touring and the moment the lights come on. The song was written last of all the material for the 1980 album it heads, and finished only days before the deadline. It became ABBA's ninth and final British number one, and the album entered the British chart with more advance orders than any record before it. The opening chorus is sung unaccompanied, in close harmony.
