Alexander Gospodinov

Touring Tuscany and Umbria in 2004 with the I.C.O. Symphony Orchestra & Choir, Alexander Gospodinov appeared at San Gimignano, Montespertoli and Todi, in company with Mario Kulev, Cesare Lana, Ventseslav Anastasov and Massimiliano Pisapia. George Petean was on stage with him at Montespertoli that year, and Silvia Dalla Benetta at Chianciano Terme and Cortona. He sings in the Bulgarian vocal group Trio Tenorite alongside Kiril Iliev and Iliyan Nedev, in programmes that set operatic repertoire beside popular song from Bulgaria and elsewhere. With the orchestra of the Burgas Opera the trio has given Broadway Will Go Wild!, orchestrated and conducted by Levon Manukyan. He was born on 12 March 1979 in Varna and left the Konstantin Preslavski humanities gymnasium there in May 1997. At the Pancho Vladigerov State Academy of Music in Sofia he studied in the class of Professor Blagovesta Karnobatlova, taking a bachelor's degree in 2003 and a master's in 2004, and he has been a laureate of national opera competitions. The trio he sings in was formed in 2010 on Kiril Iliev's initiative.
