Vivo per lei

Vivo per lei was written by Valerio Zelli, Mauro Mengali and Gatto Panceri and first recorded in 1995 by the Italian group O.R.O.; the lyric addresses music itself as a woman. Andrea Bocelli took it up the following year as a duet with Giorgia, and it was then re-recorded with different partners for different markets — Hélène Ségara in France, Marta Sánchez in Spain, Judy Weiss in Germany, Bonnie Tyler in English. The multilingual reissues carried it far beyond Italy and made it one of the most widely licensed Italian songs of the decade.
